Meet Kayla

My name is Kayla, and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I feel deeply grateful to do this work and to walk alongside people who show up with courage, strength, and resilience—often during vulnerable moments in their lives. My path to becoming a therapist is rooted in my own experience of healing and in learning firsthand how powerful therapy can be. Through my own work in therapy, I came to understand the impact of truly feeling seen, supported, and challenged. That experience continues to shape how I show up in the therapy space and fuels my commitment to offering others the same depth of presence and connection.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of Washington and my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University. I’ve worked across the full continuum of care for eating disorders, including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. This experience allows me to meet clients with nuance and respect, honoring where they are in their recovery process.

Alongside my experience in treating disordered eating, I have supported athlete mental health, with a focus on navigating performance pressure, identity, and building a sustainable relationship with sport. Through the many spaces I’ve worked in, I’ve found great joy in working with therapists and other healthcare professionals, supporting those who spend much of their time caring for others and holding space in demanding roles.

Outside of the office, I’m a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, a lifelong athlete and mover, and an avid reader. These parts of my life continue to inform how I think about balance, curiosity, and staying connected to what feels nourishing.
